چکیده
Potential applications of Zr/Al ODS alloys vests on the irradiation stability Y4Zr3O12 dispersoids. Fundamental studies to identify type defects are important in order recognize pathways for damage alleviation. In this context, relating identification point and their clusters by in-situ ionoluminescence spectroscopy were taken up. The spectrum acquired during 100 keV He+ ion shows two prominent bands, at 330 nm 415 nm. Using density functional theory calculations with HSE06 hybrid exchange correlation functional, luminescent bands have been identified be arising due native induced oxygen vacancy charged neutral configurations.

Ion beam induced luminescence in natural diamond
We used ion beam induced luminescence (IBIL) to study the evolution of damage during ion implantation of natural type-IIa diamond with 30 keV carbon ions, for different sample temperatures in the range 35-300 K. Blue band-Aluminescence decays with irradiation dose from an initial value of -10e3 photons/e-h pair. This decay was modeled to obtain an effective damage cross section of -40 A2, which...
متن کاملIon-beam induced luminescence in n-type ZnO
In this project, the creation and evolution of radiationinduced defects in semiconductors was studied by ionoluminescence. This technique allows in-situ studies of radiative recombination of electron-hole pairs produced during the irradiation with energetic ions. Damage formation by high energy ions is complex and includes different processes starting with initial defects, followed by diffusion...
متن کاملLUMINESCENCE INDUCED BY DEFECTS IN CsCdBr3
Optical spectra of pure CsCdBr3 crystals are reported. The effects of impurities, temperature, thermal annealing and X irradiation are discussed. The main features are assigned to a B r 2 pseudomolecule on a lattice defect. CsCdBr3crytallizes in the hexagonal P6 /mmc space group. The 3 important ieature of this structure is its one-dimensionality. It consists of chains of face sharing (CdBr6)4-...
متن کاملCharacterization of Rare Earth Elements in Scheelite (CaWO4) with Ion Beam Induced Luminescence
Scheelite is a calcium tungstate mineral (CaWO4) well known in the mining industry as a source of tungsten. This mineral fluoresces under shortwave UV and X-rays excitation with a characteristic blue luminescence centered at about 425 nm. CaWO4-based powder was commonly used as blue phosphor and scintillator (due to high Z of W) [1-3]. The emitted spectrum shifts to yellow in the presence of mo...
متن کاملA bifunctional luminescent single-ion magnet: towards correlation between luminescence studies and magnetic slow relaxation processes.
A new heterodinuclear [Zn(L)Dy](3+) complex, with L being a compartmental Schiff base ligand, exhibits the characteristic Dy(3+) luminescence associated with a single-ion field induced slow relaxation of the magnetisation. This complex may be considered as one of the rare examples of a bifunctional luminescent single-ion magnet.
